The spirit of the world must change for mankind to survive,

Each one of us must look within to find the seed inside,

For all change comes from deep within each soul as it perceives

That we are all one brotherhood, and each one has a need.

We must lose self and start to care about our fellow man,

The veil of ignorance must lift, revealing truths that can

If put to proper use, decide the outcome of our plight,

Change bad to good, hate to love, and darkness into light.

"But I am only one", you say, "What difference can I make ?"

Oh, don't you know, have you not learnt from all your past mistakes ?

We are the hubs of circles of family and friends -

Start with those you love the most and see how love extends

Like ripples from a stone that's thrown into a mighty creek,

Love travels ever outwards, touching everyone it meets.

Love for fellow man can end the sorrows of this world,

It just takes one mere mortal to start to spread the word.

"Not everyone" you say "will change, not everybody cares".

That's true my child, but only he who tries, and only he who dares

Stand up to evil, malice, greed, envy, hate and strife

Will ever find his soul; it's true, it might cost him his life.

But what if you could make a stand, hold on to what is true,

Be bold, be heard, and with your words change things that trouble you ?

Don't be afraid my child, for I am ever by your side,

I am there, when you need Me, my love I never hide.

Just search for it, hold out your hand, and I will give to you

The courage and the fortitude, that will see you through.

Oh helpless children, how I weep to see you in such pain,

For I am love - he that loves me, will never hurt again.

So fellow man, come one, come all, stand up and do not fear,

The help is coming for us all, so all be of good cheer.

God loves the Earth so much that He gave us His son

And He will come again and dwell amongst us lowly men,

And herald in an age of Love where He will rule as King.

Be strong and get yourselves prepared for we will see Him reign -

It only takes one man you see, to change the world again.

the day after my 41st birthday.
