However, if we were to use that values of great leadership, as defined by the Natives to this land and others, who believe the Chief has the least in the tribe so that those he leads may thrive, then our leaders, in this now, are abject failures of the highest order.
To put in terms football; if you were the coach for a football team and
you made sure that you were healthy and strong beyond all fairness and
reason in sharing the needed sustenance to excel, thus seeing your team
shrivel in vitality and vigor, unable to perform, leading to loss after
loss, how long do you think you would be coach of that team and do you
think that style of leadership would ever be experimented with again?
In fear, competing with life, the ego's mission is to see that only the mortal body survives, even if ill and fragmented; in LOVE, collaborating with creation, the ego shrinks allowing both the body and the immortal spirit to be fit and whole.
In LOVE we must all strive to be great leaders...
just LOVE...

Be gentle and you can be bold; be frugal and you can be liberal; avoid putting yourself before others and you can become a leader among men.” ~ Lao Tzu
"Enlightened leadership is spiritual if we understand spirituality not as some kind of religious dogma or ideology but as the domain of awareness where we experience values like truth, goodness, beauty, love and compassion, and also intuition, creativity, insight and focused attention." ~ Deepak Chopra
