The hunter could hear the sorrowful screaming from miles away, he
followed the mournful wailing to its source and there he found the body
of dead falcon mother laying on the ground at the base of a very tall
jagged rock face. What had led to her death he was not sure and in the
moment it did not matter for the source of grief stricken cries was from
the falcon's nest perched far above; two baby falcons screeching in
vain for their mother's return. He knew instinctually - though
terrified of heights - that if did not climb the wall and rescue the
newly hatched eyass they would surely perish. So he laid down his rifle
and began to climb and climb, overcoming his mortal fear, hands torn and
bloodied from the jagged stones, until he reached the nest and the baby
birds. He wrapped them gently in his worn flannel shirt which he
fashioned into a nap sack and he began his arduous descent down the
cliff he smiled soul wide and thought to himself, "This is what LOVE is;
the sacred responsibility life has to nurture and help all other life
thrive." and with this divine experience and that blessed thought, he
knew he had just become a much wiser man. He walked from the cliff
babies nestled safely in his arms, his rifle left lying on the ground.

Hiding behind a shield of glass, electrons pulsing within, ablaze
with sound and color, polluting space and time with images and stories
of experiences of life and LOVE not our own, we live vicariously,
illusions within illusions, reinforcing the delusion that we and we
alone are somehow separate from all creation, in control of it's systems
and processes, that the enlightened remembered spirit knows they are
but the caretakers, the preservers, pre-servers of, but not we this
version of the dream of man, who believes falsely they are the source,
the cause of this experience, this snapshot of life and not the effect,
we wallow in our fairy tales known, not allowing ourselves the awareness
to embrace that we know not, better to imagine a universe in which we
are alone haplessly struggling in vain, than embrace the
incomprehensible, unknowable truth of our forever connection, our
eternal embrace, with and of the infinite oneness that is. Is this life
not glorious fantasy enough, that we must manifest from madness our own,
convincing ourselves it is truth?

I feel that in truth we do not become more highly evolved, as in
truth there is nothing and nowhere to evolve to, only experiences to
have; rather we become only more completely remembered, until, with
conscious intention, we choose to be completely remembered, re-membered,
as the oneness in LOVE with Infinity we are, but had chosen, choose to
forget, as we have our experiences of imagined in incompleteness.

But, as he got back in his car and drove home to the city, smoke stacks belching fire in the sky, homeless by street side calling out to deaf ears and on the radio news reports screamed the broken record of war and depravity, he realized, "Hating, harming, competing has been the nature of man and that must change if man wishes to continue to be at all."
