I recently watched a film called "The Age Of Stupid". It was part fiction and part a factual telling of the last days of mankind. Based in 2055, it was narrated by an archivist, who had collected as much of our collective history as he could, with actual news footage and interviews documenting our last days and the collapse of our environment our self destructive actions hastened. His purpose in doing this was to transmit a message, with all the collected data about what were and that we were, out into space, so that somewhere, something may know that we once were at all. In it the archivist poses this profound question, "Is the reason we continue to destroy ourselves, despite all evidence that that is exactly what we are doing, because we do not feel worthy of Life?".

My answer was immediate and certain, yes of course it is! For how could we feel worthy of Life, when millennium after millennium. generation after generation, religion after religion has informed and brainwashed us into the belief that we are born in sin, that we are in fact inherently evil and must be saved and that heaven is the place after this. Unless of course you don't get saved, in which case you go to hell, as if it could be much worse than the nightmare of an illusion we have created for ourselves here and now.

Now don't get me wrong I have a wonderful relationship with God/Infinity and truly believe that Love, unqualified Love is all that matters, I just have no use for religion. Although I believe that if all religions would admit the error in their understandings of God that they could play an integral part in saving us from self-annihilation, as there are a great many wonderful teachings, teachers and followers in all religions. I wanted to clarify that so I won't confuse you when I say the following:

I would rather be a Love filled atheist doing what I can, my best, in what I believe to be my one go round on the wheel of Life, trying to make heaven here and now, for all the generations that will follow, than a devout fanatical believer of any religion, creating hell here, for the delusional promise of a heaven after.

Yesterday I wrote about the heart being the place where the spirit resides and the spirit acting a as intermediary between our Soul's pure, unconditional Love - which is all of the Love energy that exists in Infinity/God - and the body which would be entirely overwhelmed by the Soul's Love if it were not for spirit allowing our body to only experience what it is capable in the moment of experiencing. This made think that as our bodies are formed from Soul that each organ, every cell plays a specific role, a spirit within that allows infinite Soul to connect and communicate with finite body, without burning it instantly out.

For instance, just as I struggled with the concept of spirit - coming now to terms with it as heart being the place were spirit resides and performs its function - I have also struggled with the concept of mind. I grasped long ago the idea of soul/consciousness and brain/body, but what what was mind? Mind I now believe performs a similar function, to the heart, acting as intermediary between the Soul's consciousness - which is all the infinite information that Infinity/God is comprised of - and which without the brain/body would be instantly fried, as it has not the computing power to comprehend. So mind is actually another word for spirit, but where the heart/spirit manages the Soul's infinite Love, the brain/spirit manages the Soul's infinite consciousness.

For those of you who know a little about electronics, I see spirit performing a similar function to that of what a capacitor does in circuit. Allowing only enough electricity through to allow the circuit to function properly, without shorting it out.

This then led me to start pondering what function civilization performs in our experience of soul to matter. At first thinking why are we doing any of this? What are we here to achieve or learn and what role does civilization play in this achieving, learning? It then came to me, that we gather together forming first couples, then families, then communities, then civilizations in order to learn that all must work together for all to function at all. All we need do is look out to our solar system, to see this concept at work. For there would not be an earth, a solar system, a galaxy, a universe if all did not play perfectly with all else. Could you imagine what our solar system would be like if each planet chose to have random, patternless, orbits, just running willy nilly all over space. Well I can tell you this there would not be an Earth for us to imagine it upon.

We seem to understand this when is comes to our inventions; like say the internal combustion engine. Gears, valves, pistons all working together to make the engine go. If all the parts in the engine aren't working together the engine runs either very poorly or not at all. We don't apply however this same logic to our relationships to one another, our civilizations. Instead we feel like we can do whatever we want as individuals without concern for how that causes the entirety of humanity to function, to BE!

Our purpose here is to experience on a very personal level that all things must work together, to BE and right now civilization runs like a poorly tuned engine on the brink of not running at all. Which is perfect, because with all the junk we have now floating around the Earth. Our home has become that house on the block with all the rusted cars in the yard and in the driveway and each time we pass, we wonder are they ever going to get their shit together and fix those things. I'm thinking aliens drive by often and think just that.

Time to get tuned up... JUST LOVE!

Though I have undeniable faith, I do not follow or believe in any specific religious doctrine, there is however one aspect of religious teaching that appears in my thoughts often and that is the concept of the Holy Trinity. Father, Son I understand, but the Holy Spirit has always been a puzzlement. I then had an epiphany, in it came a remembrance of what the Holy Spirit is and in that new knowing I came to understand more fully where the teaching of the Holy Trinity, I believe originated from.

So here's what I NOW understand the Holy Trinity to BE...

Father: God/Infinity/Love/The Creator

Son: God/Infinity/Love/Creation/eternal Life (us + everything that is)

Holy Spirit: Love... God/Infinity/The Creator's need, reason, motivation to create eternal Life (us + everything that is)

Imagine you are God/Infinity/Love and you have this beautiful vision of what eternal Life is, floating about your omnipotent consciousness, but have nothing to share it with, nothing to Love or to be loved by. The Holy Spirit/Love was God's need to share her beautiful vision, her Love and to have Love given her in return. So the true purpose I believe of Creation, eternal Life, is to give and receive Love infinitely.

Love is what God is, Love is what we are, Love is the only reason to BE!

LOVE IS THE SOUL OF GOD! LOVE IS GOD'S HOLY SPIRIT!

There is a fine line between knowing a thing and being so arrogant to believe that you know and have an answer for everything, Religion often crosses that line between humble knowing and arrogant spiritual dictatorship.
